Q. What does it mean to be Organised1st and how much of my time will it take?
A. All it takes is one four-hour active learning session and you (and/or your team) will be on your way. After that, it is sustained via a simple one minute daily routine. This means you’ll go home with a clear in-box, clear in-tray, a clear desk and knowing what needs to be done the next day, the next week and even the next month. And all of this adds up to a clear mind and a good night’s sleep.
Q. Do I have to learn a whole new system to be Organised1st?
A. No. You will learn how to use enhanced techniques and templates from Organised1st that will streamline your existing systems and utilise your current software. People who are “organised” are already applying around 80% of Organised 1st’s key principles in some form or other. Even “disorganised” people generally apply around 70% of the principles in an ad hoc manner, but the hole in their dam wall is larger and therefore the spillage is more obvious. However, it is how efficiently and effectively you use that 70% or 80% and it is what happens in that final 10%-30% that matters most – that’s where the greatest results are achieved.
Q. What can I expect to learn from Organised1st?
A. In summary:
- You will learn how to more efficiently and effectively deal with your daily “intakes” of cognitive, physical and electronic information.
- You will then bring issues and tasks into Core Aspects (categories) whereby they are relative to each other and the time that you have available given your meetings and deadlines.
- You will develop your SmartList by dealing with history and future – ensuring all things to do are in the future and history is closed off.
- You will learn how to more efficiently “close out” lists, appointments, meetings and things to do ensuring you are always in control.
- You will be able to see and plan all future issues clearing the way for you to make more effective choices.
- You will learn how to maintain the system in just one minute per day.
